Diana Bartelings

Born in White Horse, Yukon, and raised in Vancouver, BC, I now reside in Rock Creek, BC where I married and raised my family. Our home is on the Kettle River where I am inspired on a daily basis as I take our miniature dachshunds and rottweiler for walks.

For me to create is a spiritual act, making my work intensely personal.

I respond to the beauty I see - in nature, in man-made structures; in Spiritual concepts; in family and friends. In animals, both domestic and wild. Current and historical issues also move me to create. Water as a subject matter is evident in much of my work. I use cotton, silk , wool and sometimes wood as my fibres of choice.

Photography is a hobby for me that I use as a springboard for much of my art.
